Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SLC27A6 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 5 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated SLC27A6 data layer compared with 22 for mass-spec protein and 2 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in lung squamous cell carcinoma (LUSC), where higher SLC27A6 Mutation is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SLC27A6 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
LUSC, PRAD, and SKCM are the cancer types where SLC27A6 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
