Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SLC27A5 RNA is linked to patient survival in 24 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated SLC27A5 data layer compared with 7 for mutation status.

The strongest signal is observed in uveal melanoma (UVM), where higher SLC27A5 RNA is associated with better disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SLC27A5 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UVM and HNSC show a favorable association.

UVM, HNSC, and LIHC are the cancer types where SLC27A5 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
