Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SLC27A5 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 7 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated SLC27A5 data layer compared with 24 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in cervical squamous cell carcinoma and endocervical adenocarcinoma (CESC), where higher SLC27A5 Mutation is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SLC27A5 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as SKCM show a favorable association.
CESC, STAD, and DLBC are the cancer types where SLC27A5 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
