Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SLC27A4 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 4 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated SLC27A4 data layer compared with 22 for mass-spec protein and 6 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in uterine corpus endometrial carcinoma (UCEC), where higher SLC27A4 Mutation is associated with better disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SLC27A4 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC and SKCM show a favorable association.
UCEC, SKCM, and LGG are the cancer types where SLC27A4 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
