Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SLC27A2 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated SLC27A2 data layer compared with 24 for mass-spec protein and 6 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in skin cutaneous melanoma (SKCM), where higher SLC27A2 Mutation is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SLC27A2 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
SKCM, LUSC, and LGG are the cancer types where SLC27A2 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
