Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SLC27A1 mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 7 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated SLC27A1 data layer compared with 21 for mass-spec protein and 6 for mutation status.

The strongest signal is observed in lung squamous cell carcinoma (LSCC), where higher SLC27A1 mass-spec protein is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SLC27A1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as PDAC and GBM show a favorable association.

LSCC, UCEC, and COAD are the cancer types where SLC27A1 mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
