Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SLC26A7 RNA is linked to patient survival in 23 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated SLC26A7 data layer compared with 11 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in uveal melanoma (UVM), where higher SLC26A7 RNA is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SLC26A7 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as READ and BLCA show a favorable association.
UVM, READ, and LUAD are the cancer types where SLC26A7 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
