Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SLC26A3 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 11 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated SLC26A3 data layer compared with 23 for mass-spec protein.

The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal papillary cell carcinoma (KIRP), where higher SLC26A3 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SLC26A3 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC and SKCM show a favorable association.

KIRP, HNSC, and LAML are the cancer types where SLC26A3 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
