Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SLC26A10 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 10 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of SLC26A10’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.

The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where SLC26A10 RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types SLC26A10 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as BRCA and STAD show the opposite, repressed pattern.

HNSC, BRCA, and STAD are the cancer types where SLC26A10 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
