Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SLC25A6P5 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 6 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of SLC25A6P5’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where SLC25A6P5 RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types SLC25A6P5 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as KICH show the opposite, repressed pattern.
HNSC, LUSC, and BLCA are the cancer types where SLC25A6P5 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
