Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SLC25A53 mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 1 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated SLC25A53 data layer compared with 25 for mass-spec protein and 2 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in glioblastoma multiforme (GBM), where higher SLC25A53 mass-spec protein is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SLC25A53 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
GBM are the cancer types where SLC25A53 mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
