Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SLC25A44 RNA is linked to patient survival in 20 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated SLC25A44 data layer compared with 2 for mutation status and 2 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in adrenocortical carcinoma (ACC), where higher SLC25A44 RNA is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SLC25A44 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as KIRC and PAAD show a favorable association.
ACC, MESO, and KIRC are the cancer types where SLC25A44 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
