Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SLC25A44 mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 2 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated SLC25A44 data layer compared with 20 for mass-spec protein and 2 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in lung squamous cell carcinoma (LSCC), where higher SLC25A44 mass-spec protein is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SLC25A44 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as GBM show a favorable association.
LSCC and GBM are the cancer types where SLC25A44 mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
