Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SLC25A37 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 13 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of SLC25A37’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.

The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal papillary cell carcinoma (KIRP), where SLC25A37 RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types SLC25A37 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as BRCA and KICH show the opposite, repressed pattern.

KIRP, THCA, and KIRC are the cancer types where SLC25A37 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
