Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SLC25A27 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 11 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of SLC25A27’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD), where SLC25A27 RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types SLC25A27 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as LUAD and BLCA show the opposite, repressed pattern.
LUAD, BLCA, and LUSC are the cancer types where SLC25A27 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
