Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SLC25A16 mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated SLC25A16 data layer compared with 23 for mass-spec protein and 6 for mutation status.

The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher SLC25A16 mass-spec protein is associated with better disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SLC25A16 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as HNSC and CCRCC show a favorable association.

HNSC, UCEC, and CCRCC are the cancer types where SLC25A16 mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
