Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SLC22A16 RNA is linked to patient survival in 26 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated SLC22A16 data layer compared with 9 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in stomach adenocarcinoma (STAD), where higher SLC22A16 RNA is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SLC22A16 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCS and LAML show a favorable association.
STAD, COAD, and UCEC are the cancer types where SLC22A16 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
