Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SLC1A1 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 4 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated SLC1A1 data layer compared with 27 for mass-spec protein and 4 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in breast invasive carcinoma (BRCA), where higher SLC1A1 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SLC1A1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC and SKCM show a favorable association.
BRCA, UCEC, and ACC are the cancer types where SLC1A1 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
