Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SLC19A3 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 5 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated SLC19A3 data layer compared with 23 for mass-spec protein and 4 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in liver hepatocellular carcinoma (LIHC), where higher SLC19A3 Mutation is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SLC19A3 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as STAD show a favorable association.
LIHC, READ, and STAD are the cancer types where SLC19A3 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
