Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SLC17A5 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 5 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated SLC17A5 data layer compared with 23 for mass-spec protein and 4 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in bladder urothelial carcinoma (BLCA), where higher SLC17A5 Mutation is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SLC17A5 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
BLCA, PRAD, and UCEC are the cancer types where SLC17A5 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
