Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SLC17A4 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 4 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated SLC17A4 data layer compared with 18 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in uterine corpus endometrial carcinoma (UCEC), where higher SLC17A4 Mutation is associated with better overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SLC17A4 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
UCEC, ESCA, and LUSC are the cancer types where SLC17A4 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
