Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SLC17A2 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 4 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated SLC17A2 data layer compared with 13 for mass-spec protein and 2 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in breast invasive carcinoma (BRCA), where higher SLC17A2 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SLC17A2 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
BRCA, LUAD, and SKCM are the cancer types where SLC17A2 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
