Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SLC16A8 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 4 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated SLC16A8 data layer compared with 24 for mass-spec protein and 5 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher SLC16A8 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SLC16A8 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
HNSC, LUSC, and BLCA are the cancer types where SLC16A8 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
