Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SLC16A7 mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 2 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated SLC16A7 data layer compared with 20 for mass-spec protein and 2 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in lung squamous cell carcinoma (LSCC), where higher SLC16A7 mass-spec protein is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SLC16A7 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
LSCC and CCRCC are the cancer types where SLC16A7 mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
