Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SLC16A5 RNA is linked to patient survival in 27 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated SLC16A5 data layer compared with 4 for mutation status.

The strongest signal is observed in brain lower grade glioma (LGG), where higher SLC16A5 RNA is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SLC16A5 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as HNSC and UCS show a favorable association.

LGG, HNSC, and PAAD are the cancer types where SLC16A5 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
