Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SLC16A4 mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated SLC16A4 data layer compared with 24 for mass-spec protein.

The strongest signal is observed in lung squamous cell carcinoma (LSCC), where higher SLC16A4 mass-spec protein is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SLC16A4 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.

LSCC, LUAD, and CCRCC are the cancer types where SLC16A4 mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
