Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SLC16A14P1 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 3 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of SLC16A14P1’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal clear cell carcinoma (KIRC), where SLC16A14P1 RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types SLC16A14P1 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as KIRC and KIRP show the opposite, repressed pattern.
KIRC, KIRP, and KICH are the cancer types where SLC16A14P1 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
