Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SLC14A2 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 6 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated SLC14A2 data layer compared with 26 for mass-spec protein and 1 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal clear cell carcinoma (KIRC), where higher SLC14A2 Mutation is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SLC14A2 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as SKCM and OV show a favorable association.
KIRC, SKCM, and OV are the cancer types where SLC14A2 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
