Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SLC13A2 RNA is linked to patient survival in 22 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated SLC13A2 data layer compared with 6 for mutation status and 1 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher SLC13A2 RNA is associated with better disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SLC13A2 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as HNSC and ACC show a favorable association.
HNSC, ACC, and LUSC are the cancer types where SLC13A2 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
