Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SKIV2L Mutation is linked to patient survival in 6 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated SKIV2L data layer compared with 26 for mass-spec protein and 3 for mass-spec protein.

The strongest signal is observed in skin cutaneous melanoma (SKCM), where higher SKIV2L Mutation is associated with better disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SKIV2L expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as SKCM and UCEC show a favorable association.

SKCM, THYM, and COAD are the cancer types where SKIV2L Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
