Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SIX4 mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 4 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated SIX4 data layer compared with 25 for mass-spec protein and 7 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher SIX4 mass-spec protein is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SIX4 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC and LSCC show a favorable association.
HNSC, UCEC, and PDAC are the cancer types where SIX4 mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
