SHROOM4

Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SHROOM4 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 13 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of SHROOM4’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.

The strongest signal is observed in colon adenocarcinoma (COAD), where SHROOM4 RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types SHROOM4 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as KICH and LUSC show the opposite, repressed pattern.

COAD, KICH, and THCA are the cancer types where SHROOM4 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
