Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SHISA4 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 1 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated SHISA4 data layer compared with 27 for mass-spec protein and 3 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in lung squamous cell carcinoma (LUSC), where higher SHISA4 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SHISA4 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
LUSC are the cancer types where SHISA4 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
