Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SHISA2 mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 2 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated SHISA2 data layer compared with 17 for mass-spec protein and 7 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher SHISA2 mass-spec protein is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SHISA2 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
HNSC and LSCC are the cancer types where SHISA2 mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
