Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SHFL mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 6 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated SHFL data layer compared with 25 for mass-spec protein.

The strongest signal is observed in uterine corpus endometrial carcinoma (UCEC), where higher SHFL mass-spec protein is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SHFL expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as LUAD and PDAC show a favorable association.

UCEC, LUAD, and PDAC are the cancer types where SHFL mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
