Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SH3D19 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 11 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of SH3D19’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.

The strongest signal is observed in bladder urothelial carcinoma (BLCA), where SH3D19 RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types SH3D19 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as BLCA and LUSC show the opposite, repressed pattern.

BLCA, LUSC, and KICH are the cancer types where SH3D19 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
