Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SFTPD Mutation is linked to patient survival in 5 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated SFTPD data layer compared with 26 for mass-spec protein and 3 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in small cell lung cancer (SCLC), where higher SFTPD Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SFTPD expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
SCLC, KIRC, and HNSC are the cancer types where SFTPD Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
