Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SFMBT1 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 5 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated SFMBT1 data layer compared with 28 for mass-spec protein and 2 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal clear cell carcinoma (KIRC), where higher SFMBT1 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SFMBT1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as BLCA show a favorable association.
KIRC, BRCA, and LIHC are the cancer types where SFMBT1 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
