Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SF3B6 mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 4 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated SF3B6 data layer compared with 27 for mass-spec protein and 1 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher SF3B6 mass-spec protein is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SF3B6 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as LSCC and UCEC show a favorable association.
HNSC, LSCC, and UCEC are the cancer types where SF3B6 mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
