Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SF3B3 RNA is linked to patient survival in 21 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated SF3B3 data layer compared with 11 for mutation status and 4 for mass-spec protein.

The strongest signal is observed in small cell lung cancer (SCLC), where higher SF3B3 RNA is associated with better disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SF3B3 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as SCLC and KIRC show a favorable association.

SCLC, MESO, and KIRC are the cancer types where SF3B3 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
