Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SETD1A RNA is linked to patient survival in 22 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated SETD1A data layer compared with 6 for mutation status and 4 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in esophageal carcinoma (ESCA), where higher SETD1A RNA is associated with better overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SETD1A expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as ESCA and HNSC show a favorable association.
ESCA, HNSC, and LIHC are the cancer types where SETD1A RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
