Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SETD1A mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 4 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated SETD1A data layer compared with 22 for mass-spec protein and 6 for mutation status.

The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher SETD1A mass-spec protein is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SETD1A expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as LSCC and GBM show a favorable association.

HNSC, LSCC, and GBM are the cancer types where SETD1A mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
