Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SESTD1 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 5 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated SESTD1 data layer compared with 25 for mass-spec protein and 4 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in ovarian serous cystadenocarcinoma (OV), where higher SESTD1 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SESTD1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
OV, UCEC, and SCLC are the cancer types where SESTD1 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
