Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SEPTIN5 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 2 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated SEPTIN5 data layer compared with 22 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in breast invasive carcinoma (BRCA), where higher SEPTIN5 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SEPTIN5 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
BRCA and UCEC are the cancer types where SEPTIN5 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
