Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SEPSECS Mutation is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated SEPSECS data layer compared with 24 for mass-spec protein and 6 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in thyroid carcinoma (THCA), where higher SEPSECS Mutation is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SEPSECS expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
THCA, LUSC, and ACC are the cancer types where SEPSECS Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
