Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SEMA5B RNA is linked to patient survival in 22 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated SEMA5B data layer compared with 5 for mutation status and 2 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in uveal melanoma (UVM), where higher SEMA5B RNA is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SEMA5B expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as KIRC and UCS show a favorable association.
UVM, KIRC, and LIHC are the cancer types where SEMA5B RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
