Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SELPLG Mutation is linked to patient survival in 5 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated SELPLG data layer compared with 21 for mass-spec protein and 5 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher SELPLG Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SELPLG expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
HNSC, LUSC, and UCEC are the cancer types where SELPLG Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
