Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SELPLG mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 5 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated SELPLG data layer compared with 21 for mass-spec protein and 5 for mutation status.

The strongest signal is observed in clear cell renal cell carcinoma (CCRCC), where higher SELPLG mass-spec protein is associated with better disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SELPLG expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as CCRCC and LUAD show a favorable association.

CCRCC, PDAC, and HNSC are the cancer types where SELPLG mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
