Across TCGA patient cohorts, SELENOM protein abundance is significantly associated with the RNA expression of many other genes, with 14,598 significant associations in total. LSCC shows the largest number of these associations.
The most reproducible SELENOM-associated genes across cancer lineages are DCN, SERPINF1, and LUM. Each is linked with SELENOM in more than 7 cancer types. Because this analysis shows association rather than direction, both SELENOM-to-partner and partner-to-SELENOM results are reported.
