Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SEL1L2 RNA is linked to patient survival in 24 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated SEL1L2 data layer compared with 8 for mutation status and 1 for mass-spec protein.

The strongest signal is observed in uveal melanoma (UVM), where higher SEL1L2 RNA is associated with better overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SEL1L2 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UVM and CESC show a favorable association.

UVM, LAML, and READ are the cancer types where SEL1L2 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
